The Medical Library has a library fund that includes over 35,000 titles of books and magazines, textbooks, medical atlases, language dictionaries and the others. The books are sorted by field, for example anatomy, sports medicine, oncology,...
Loans are divided into several types according to the location of a specific book. The loan period varies from 1 month to a semester, loans can be extended.
Standard loan (out of the library): 1 month, you can prolong it (maximal time of loan is three months)
Textbook department loan: 5 months, you can prolong it (maximal time of loan is ten months)
In-house loan (yellow label marked book): one day, return during library opening hours
Prolong is not possible, if the book is reserved by another student or if the book is borrowed for the maximum time.
The books are not located in stacks, but it is useful to find them through the online catalogue UKAŽ. This library catalog is for all faculty libraries of the university, it is nessesery to choose the location of the Medical library in Hradec Králové to show the books, which we can offer to students of our faculty.
You can check in your account, when your loans will be end -and when you should return it to the Medical Library. You can return the books on your own or using the Return Box in the building Na Hradě in order to return of books during the library's closing hours.
The Return box is not able to use, when the library is opened. The books will be returned on your account the following weekday.
The library will charge a fee for exceeding the loan period.
Damaged books will not be marked as returned in your user account.
