Loans are divided into several types according to the location of a specific book. The loan period varies from 1 month to a semester, the loans can be extended.
Standard loan (out of the library): 1 month, you can prolong it (maximum loan period is three months)
Loan of the Textbook department: 5 months, you can prolong it (maximum loan period is ten months)
In-house loan (yellow label marked book): one day, return during library opening hours
You can not prolong, if the book is reserved by another student or if the book is borrowed for the maximum period.
The books are not located in a warehouse, you can find them in a free-access area. The best option for searching for books is the online catalog UKAŽ. This library catalog is intended for all faculty libraries of Charles University. Do you want to find the books that we can offer to students of our faculty? In the filters, you have to select the location of the Medical Library in Hradec Králové.
You can check in your account when your loans will end - and when you should return it to the Medical Library. You can return the books on your own or use the Return Box in the building Na Hradě to return books during the library's closing hours.
The Return box is not able to be used when the library is opened. The books will be returned to your account the following weekday.
The library will charge a fee for exceeding the loan period.
Damaged books will not be marked as returned in your user account.
